Important Notes
- Tesla's vehicle UI does not currently include a display for discharging, so the status will show "Charging" instead. Rest assured, this has no impact on the V2L functionality.
- The Wetox DC V2L adapter features a 10% low-battery protection to prevent the vehicle’s battery from being completely drained. Before using the adapter, please ensure your vehicle is not at a full 100% charge and that the current battery level is below the charging limit set in your vehicle’s settings.
- This product is rated IPX5 waterproof, allowing the main unit, charging connector, and AC outlets to be used directly in the rain. Please note that both an empty outlet and a fully inserted plug are waterproof, but a partially inserted plug is not. Be sure to insert the plug completely during use. Additionally, the USB-C port is not waterproof, so always seal it with the included rubber cap when not in use.
- The WETOX PowerShare D2 includes a built-in USB-C port, but it’s not meant for charging phones or laptops—it’s specifically for the device itself. Inside the adapter, there’s an 18650 battery that powers communication with the vehicle's BMS. If the adapter hasn’t been used for a long time, this internal battery may run out of power. To prevent this, you can use the USB-C cable provided in the Carrying Case to fully charge the device overnight before use. Alternatively, you can connect the USB-A to USB-C Cable cable while turning the device on. Once V2L discharging starts, the adapter will automatically recharge its internal battery.

USB-A to USB-C Cable
If the built-in battery of your V2L adapter runs out after extended periods of inactivity, use the USB-A to USB-C cable provided in the Carrying Case to recharge it. Keep this cable dedicated for recharging the adapter—don’t use it for other purposes.
PU Water-Resistant Carrying Case
Every WETOX device includes a premium carrying case designed for convenience and protection. Made with water-resistant PU material and a sealed waterproof zipper, it features a padded interior to keep your WETOX V2L adapter safe and secure.
IPX6 Waterproof Extension Cord
If you chose the bundle with a Extension Cord, your carrying case includes a 16.4 ft (5-meter) Extension Cord with two NEMA 5-15 outlets. Designed with an IPX6 waterproof rating, it’s built to handle even heavy rain, ensuring reliable performance in any weather.

Is WETOX PowerShare D2 compatible with all Tesla models(NACS)?
WETOX has conducted rigorous compatibility testing with Tesla models from all years and regions, including North America, Europe, and China. We’ve gathered extensive validation data to ensure reliability. Detailed compatibility information will be provided before the official launch—stay tuned!
How long can the V2L adapter power my appliances? Will it completely drain my car’s battery?
The WETOX V2L adapter simply draws power from your Tesla and converts it into AC electricity. The runtime depends on two main factors: the remaining charge in your vehicle's battery and the power consumption of the appliances you're using. The adapter includes real-time SOC (State of Charge) monitoring with a built-in low battery protection feature that kicks in at 10% to ensure your car’s battery doesn’t completely drain.
What appliances can I use with the V2L adapter?
The adapter features two NEMA 5-15 outlets. According to NEMA standards, each outlet can deliver up to 1.8kW of power, with a combined maximum output of 3.6kW. This means most standard household appliances within this range will work seamlessly. However, some appliances with compressors, like refrigerators, may experience a brief power surge when starting up, which could temporarily exceed their rated power. Be sure to check your appliance specifications before use.
Will using the V2L adapter damage my Tesla?
V2L technology complies with all relevant standards and does not involve any modifications to the vehicle's electronic circuits. We will provide a detailed explanation before the official launch. Additionally, Tesla batteries are designed to handle power surges in the hundreds of kilowatts during acceleration, making the steady 3.6kW power draw from the V2L adapter negligible in comparison.
Will using the V2L adapter void my Tesla warranty?
WETOX ensures that our products are safe and fully compliant with Tesla's standards, but warranty decisions ultimately depend on Tesla. Globally, we’ve seen brands like Nissan, Buick, and Cadillac explicitly approve the use of DC V2L adapters. Over the past three years, we’ve sold tens of thousands of GB/T-compatible Tesla V2L adapters, and so far, no user has reported losing their warranty due to using our products.
