While WETOX PowerShare D2 does not integrate with energy management systems, it still offers DC-to-AC inversion capabilities. By plugging an extension cord into the device’s two 5-15 outlets, it can supply power to appliances within the home.
In the event of a sudden power outage caused by natural disasters such as cold snaps or hurricanes, or other unforeseen circumstances, even if you don’t own an expensive energy storage system or a noisy diesel generator, you can still use your Tesla’s battery to power household appliances and meet basic living needs. Essential devices like refrigerators, lights, Wi-Fi, and televisions can continue to function.
A fully charged Tesla, with a battery capacity of 60–100kWh, can provide enough electricity to support an average household for approximately 2–3 days. While the entire neighborhood is shrouded in darkness and silence, your home remains a beacon of light, offering warmth and comfort.
According to The Guardian, heavy rains in Queensland, Australia, caused power outages for multiple households. Holmes' 11-year-old son, Levi, who was undergoing dialysis treatment, faced a life-threatening situation as the dialysis machine required continuous power to operate. Thanks to the V2L functionality of the BYD Atto 3, the dialysis machine was able to run for four days until power was restored, ultimately saving the 11-year-old boy's life.
