As the undisputed #1 brand for Direct Current Vehicle-to-Load (DC V2L) technology in China, WETOX has just extended its dominance in the OEM-certified segment.
Built on uncompromising safety standards and industry-leading vehicle compatibility, WETOX has already secured official technical certifications and premium store placement with several EV giants, including Buick, Li Auto, XPENG, and Leapmotor. Today, we are thrilled to announce yet another major milestone: WETOX has officially broken into the elite supply chain ecosystem of a global automotive legend—Ford Motor Company.
The Evolution of Ford: A Unified Ecosystem for the Digital Era
For our North American community, Ford is a household name synonymous with rugged reliability and automotive innovation. However, navigating the world's most hyper-competitive EV market in China required Ford to undergo a massive structural transformation.

Decades ago, Ford entered China through joint ventures, partnering with Changan Automobile to produce passenger cars like the Mondeo and Focus, and later investing heavily in JMC (Jiangling Motors) to dominate the commercial vehicle sector with the Transit. As the electric revolution swept the market, operating through multiple disparate sales channels led to a fragmented customer experience. Even the Mustang Mach-E—the very soul of Ford's electrification strategy—experienced shifts in ownership, moving from a standalone direct-to-consumer team before finally being re-integrated back into the core Changan Ford matrix.
To eliminate friction and future-proof its brand, Ford consolidated all its Chinese operations, import vehicle segments, and lifestyle ecosystems under a single, wholly-owned corporate entity. This sweeping integration culminated in a unified digital experience for drivers: The Ford Beyond App, a single, centralized ecosystem serving all Ford owners across Mainland China.

It is within this premium, highly curated official marketplace that the WETOX DC V2L Mobile Power Station has made its official debut as a certified factory ecosystem product.
Solving the EV Headache: Why the Mach-E Demands DC V2L
For many Mustang Mach-E owners, a major pain point during overlanding or camping trips is the lack of a native outbound power supply.
Here is the engineering reality: The Ford Mustang Mach-E, much like Tesla, does not feature a bidirectional On-Board Charger (OBC) in its physical architecture. This means Mach-E owners cannot use standard, passive AC adapters to extract power for household appliances from the vehicle's AC charging port.

The only viable engineering solution to unlock the Mach-E’s massive battery pack is to pull high-voltage DC power directly from the DC fast-charging port and invert it externally.
In the Chinese market, WETOX has long perfected this technology for the GB/T version of the Mustang Mach-E, providing thousands of drivers with a safe, plug-and-play, grid-tier power experience off the beaten path.
Coming to North America & Europe: ISO 15118-20 Mastery & Seamless OTA Upgrades
While our upcoming North American flagship release, the WETOX D2, is designed to launch with immediate, native compatibility for Tesla models, we have a massive announcement for the global Ford community.
We are incredibly excited to share that the WETOX engineering team owns 100% of the proprietary software stack for the global ISO 15118-20 protocol. This is the next-generation international standard governing advanced bidirectional EV-to-Grid communications.
Because we control the code at the most fundamental level, our hardware is already fully future-proofed. Following our initial rollout to Tesla owners, WETOX will roll out a software update natively adapting the hardware to North American (CCS1) and European (CCS2) Mustang Mach-E models.
Drivers will be able to update their WETOX adapter over-the-air (OTA) via smartphone in seconds, instantly unlocking full V2L capabilities on their Mach-E.
Tested by Titans, Built for the Wild
Automotive OEMs maintain what are universally recognized as the most punishing quality and compliance standards in the manufacturing world. To be listed in an official automaker storefront, a product must survive a gauntlet of rigorous validations—spanning high-voltage safety, uninterrupted BMS communication, and strict electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing.

By earning the trust of legacy giants and EV pioneers alike, WETOX has proven that its hardware sits in a league of its own when it comes to safety and engineering sophistication.
We are incredibly proud to bring this exact level of battle-tested, OEM-certified engineering to the global CCS1 and CCS2 platforms. Very soon, North American and European Mach-E owners will have access to the safest, most reliable, and most technologically advanced DC V2L adapter on the market.
Power your adventures, wherever the road takes you. Stay tuned for the global launch of WETOX.
